What to Expect

What to Expect

If you have never been to Refuge and you are considering visiting, here is what you should expect.

Refuge members are incredible people. When you walk through the front doors you will feel loved.  We absolutely LOVE it when someone visits for the first time. But, we are a growing church so we may not always recognize a first-time guests because so many of the people who come are still relatively new, so feel free to say, “This is my first time,” and we will guide you in.

Feel free to come in whatever attire is comfortable. Our dress code is simple: give God your best.  You will see people in all types of clothing.  You will never be singled out publicly or asked to say anything.

Ministry that connects the words of the Bible to everyday life.  We believe the Word of God is what will help guide us through life.  Our services are sometimes short, sometimes longer, but each service is unique, and we ALWAYS make space for the presence of God to impact people.

Be prepared for music that is lively including drums, bass,  guitar, and keyboard. Don’t be surprised when someone raises their hands, or dances as a sign of praise while singing. Don’t feel obligated to do so yourself but, we encourage you to join in unashamed.  We encourage people to be comfortable in worship. Our goal is to create an atmosphere where you can connect with God on a personal level.

A fun, safe environment for kids.

Our Kids ministry is temporarily on hold do to Covid-19 but we will be opening that phase shortly.  Ages 4-11.

Toddlers are cared for by loving volunteers.

A comfortable nursery for 0-2 is also accessible for your use.
